The 湾流G550 is based on the original 湾流V, which was produced in the 1990s to compete with Bombardier’s Global Express. It offers several upgrades over its predecessor, including increased range, fuel efficiency 和 takeoff performance. The aircraft received its FAA type certificate in August 2003 和 deliveries began soon after. Gulfstream ceased production in 2021, but still makes the ‘shorter-range’ G500.
